We can rest in the Lord when, by faith, we rest in his PROMISES for
· Pardon: In Christ, through faith, we have redemption, the forgiveness of our sins. Ephesians 1:7; 1 John 1:9-10.
· Peace
Peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 5:1
Peace of mind, as we trust in Christ daily. John 16:33.
Peace with other believers. Ephesians 2:14-18
· Protection from Satan’s wiles as we put on the armor of God. Ephesians 6:10-18
· Provision for all our daily needs. Matthew 6:33
· Power to do his will, regardless of circumstances. Ephesians 1:19-21; Philippians 4:13; 6:10; Colossians 1:11
· Presence: Christ is with us, by his Spirit, wherever we go. Matthew 28:20
· Paradise: When we die we will be immediately with Christ. Luke 23:43; Philippians 1:23.
· Purification: When we die, or when Christ returns and raises us from the dead, we will be perfectly pure, spotless, and holy. Ephesians 1:4; 1 John 3:2
· Permanent happiness in a glorified body, along with all the saints, in the new heaven and new earth. Romans 5:1-2; 8:30; Philippians 3:20-21; Revelation 21-22
