Pastor Peter in India

From seasons of uncertainty to times of testing, and now into a phase of renewed growth and clearer direction, we continue to testify to the faithfulness of the Lord. This mid-year report is shared with deep gratitude, reflecting what God is accomplishing and through your faithful prayers that sustained the work month by month.

The promise for this year, “A Year of Increase and Expansion” (Isaiah 54:2–3), has guided us from the very beginning, and we continue to witness God’s unfolding purpose and provision.

Our Mandate and Calling

Our mission remains steadfast: to teach, train, and transform disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, equipping them to reach the unreached and strengthen the Church across India. Reaching the unreached at any cost continues to be the core of our calling.

Ministry Progress Over the Years Leading into 2026

Over the past 8 years, the ministry has matured in both depth and reach.

What began as simple online prayer and teaching gatherings has developed into a sustained digital discipleship movement. Daily devotionals and intercessory prayer points are now shared in English, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada reaching pastors, missionaries, and believers across nearly every state in India. The WhatsApp Prayer Room functions as a living altar of intercession, receiving urgent requests from persecuted believers, families in crisis, and frontline workers. Many have testified to healing, provision, restored faith, and renewed courage. A recent challenge with WhatsApp restrictions has impacted our regular communication and outreach, as repeated limitations on message sharing have reduced our ability to connect with many recipients. We are prayerfully exploring alternative communication channels to continue serving, encouraging, and reaching people effectively.

Online Bible Training through Zoom has grown significantly. From fewer than 100 participants in our early programs, we now equip hundreds of Gospel workers each year. Our teaching materials have been translated into Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada, digitized, and shared in formats accessible even to those with limited technology. Recorded sessions are uploaded to YouTube, enabling believers in remote or restricted areas to continue learning at their own pace. In locations with no internet access or digital resources, our Bible teachers make in-person video visits on fewer occasions, ensuring scattered groups are still reached and discipled.

July concluded with a significant milestone as we completed our first SOZO Training of the year, reaching 496 participants from across India, Nepal, Bhutan, and the Philippines.

This four-week training journey, conducted in both Hindi and Telugu, took participants through the Book of Galatians every Saturday during the early morning hours. The virtual classroom brought together a diverse group of believers, including Bishops, Reverends, Pastors, Evangelists, government and private sector professionals, doctors, professors, theologians, homemakers, and students.

We are deeply grateful for the dedicated translation support that made this training accessible. The Telugu sessions were beautifully translated by an excellent translator from Hyderabad, while the Hindi sessions were facilitated personally. Weekly session notes were also translated and shared to strengthen learning and continued growth.

This has been one of the most encouraging highlights of the year so far. Even during ministry travel, one session was conducted from a hotel in Madhya Pradesh, demonstrating the commitment to continue equipping God’s people regardless of circumstances.

National Conference, Hyderabad

From 12th to 16th January 2026, I had the privilege of serving as the Hindi translator for the guest speakers from the United States during the National Conference in Hyderabad. The conference was further enriched by the participation of several of our ministry associates from different states: James and Suman from Jammu and Kashmir; Patiyar and Tetra, along with Dharmender and Soni, from Uttar Pradesh; Samuel and Pramila from Maharashtra; and Pampilal and Sushila from Madhya Pradesh. It was a great joy to fellowship, learn together, and personally reconnect with many of them after several years.

Yeleswaram, North-East Andhra Pradesh: On 21 January, the first informal SOZO Family Church Training was held at Christ Mission Church after a 610-mile car journey. Around 20 pastors and believers gathered for biblical teaching, fellowship, and spiritual encouragement. The strong response reflected a growing hunger for unity and spiritual growth.

Husnabad, Telangana: On 31 January, the second informal SOZO Family Church Training was held in Husnabad, organized by the Hindi Masihi Sammelan. After traveling 176 miles by bus, I had the privilege of teaching 28 pastors from North Telangana. The gathering was deeply encouraging, fostering fellowship, spiritual renewal, and a strong desire for continued biblical training.

Celebrating the Life of Mrs. Maryamma: My wife’s eldest aunt passed away after a prolonged illness. We made a brief visit to the family and had the opportunity to speak during her funeral service, sharing a message of eternal hope with those gathered. Mrs. Maryamma was a faithful prayer partner and a cheerful giver who stood lovingly with our family over the years.

Update on CMC Vellore Visit:
We thank the Lord for His continued grace and healing. My mother’s 3rd and 4th medical reviews at CMC Vellore were encouraging, with her prescriptions significantly reduced. She continues only with essential lifelong medications, including blood thinner and thyroid regulation medicines.

A scheduled review visit in July could not be attended due to prior ministry commitments. We remain grateful for your prayers throughout this journey.

Education of Children

Jasmine, our little one in times of tears, her success gave us joy to celebrate in April. She performed well secured 2nd rank in her class. By God’s grace, her admission into 5th Grade was completed in the month of June.

A New Opportunity to Extend Christ’s Love and Care

With love and concern, we recently Welcomed Karen, a teenage girl from a single-parent family facing significant hardships, into our family of care and support.

Karen’s mother works as a municipal sweeper, earning only about $2.35 a day to meet their basic needs. Despite these challenges, Karen is a bright science student with excellent academic achievements, and her dedication was even recognized through a local newspaper feature.

Alongside her academic journey, Karen has been facing health challenges, including a prolonged urinary infection and hemorrhoids, while living with limited resources. Her humble faith and commitment to Christ have deeply touched our hearts.

We believe the Lord has entrusted us with this opportunity to demonstrate His love by helping Karen receive proper medical care, continue her education, and pursue her dream of higher studies in the healthcare field.

Please welcome Karen as a new member of our family and join us in prayer that God will provide the right opportunities, including admission to a good medical college where she can pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Cardiovascular Technology/Respiratory Therapy or Nursing.

Persecution Update: Pastor Sister Poonam Sharma and Fellowship

In January 2026, Pastor Sister Poonam Sharma and the fellowship she led faced a severe season of persecution. Nearly one hundred people gathered in opposition, creating a hostile atmosphere through intimidation, verbal abuse, and pressure to deny her faith in Jesus Christ.

During this difficult time, Sister Poonam and six others were arrested under charges related to religious sentiments and the Chhattisgarh Anti-Conversion Law. Yet, God strengthened her to stand courageously and testify about her faith in Christ and the life transformation she has witnessed through prayer in Jesus’ name.

By God’s grace, faithful partners provided the necessary support for their release from prison. The legal case remains ongoing, and we continue to seek prayers for complete acquittal, protection, and strength as Sister Poonam and the fellowship faithfully serve the Lord.

We also rejoice in God’s goodness as Sister Poonam entered a new season of life. On July 23, 2026, she married a believer who loves the Lord, serves Him faithfully, and works as a vegetable vendor. He belongs to the same tribal community as Sister Poonam, and together they desire to continue serving God with faithfulness and courage.

A Season of Deep Loss, Yet Held by God’s Grace

We would like to share a deeply painful journey our family has recently walked through. After witnessing difficult medical situations at a local maternity facility in Hyderabad, we decided to travel about 380 kilometers to Rajahmundry, where Suneetha could receive care and support from her family during delivery. Sadly, this decision brought unexpected heartbreak.

On Monday morning, April 20, while Suneetha was admitted with active labor pains, we lost our newborn son during delivery. Due to the circumstances surrounding the delivery, the lack of immediate neonatal care, and the inability to revive him after birth, our little boy went to be with the Lord. He was expected to arrive on my birthday, May 3, but God allowed him to come into this world on Jasmine’s birthday, April 20, for a brief moment we will always cherish.

The past months have been filled with deep sorrow and many unanswered questions. We have often wondered what more we could have done, yet we are comforted knowing that our son is safe in the loving hands of our Lord Jesus Christ. As I performed my own son's funeral, we experienced a pain beyond words, but also the sustaining grace of God.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who stood with us through prayers, messages, calls, tears, and words of encouragement. Your love and compassion from around the world have strengthened us during this difficult season. As a friend reminded us, “Even our Heavenly Father experienced the loss of His Son, and He understands our pain.”

Though there were many different opinions and responses from people around us, we remain thankful for every person who helped us walk through this journey. Our response at the hospital was one of prayer, humility, and trust in God, even though our tears.

This experience has deepened our dependence on God and strengthened our compassion toward families who face suffering, loss, and difficult circumstances. It has also reminded us that ministry is not only about serving others in their struggles but also allowing God to carry us when we walk through our own seasons of brokenness.

We thank each one of you who stood beside us during this difficult chapter. Your prayers and support have helped us continue serving the Lord and remaining faithful to the calling He has entrusted to us.

Please continue to pray for Suneetha, our children, and our family as we heal and move forward in God’s grace.

Marriage Solemnizing

Next moment after performing my son’s funeral, I travelled about 105 miles to Vijayawada to solemnize the marriage of the children of two missionary families. It was a moment filled with mixed emotions. As I completed the ministry assignment and prepared to leave, my friends embraced me with tears in their eyes, knowing the deep pain I was carrying.

During that journey, I also made a brief visit to the proposed ministry property. Standing alone under the open sky, I knelt on the ground and poured out my heart before the Lord. In the midst of sorrow, the Lord renewed my strength and reminded me of His promises.

By faith, I continue to hold onto the theme He has given us for this year: “A Year of Increase and Expansion” (Isaiah 54:2–3). We trust that even through seasons of pain, God continues to lead, strengthen, and accomplish His purposes.

Ministry Opportunities and Impact

Despite the challenges of the past six months, the Lord has opened several meaningful opportunities to serve and encourage others. We have been privileged to share in various gatherings on topics such as Indian Missions, Prayer, and Intercession, encouraging believers to deepen their faith and participate in God’s mission.

Alongside ministry teaching, we have also had opportunities to counsel and guide students who appeared for competitive examinations and were seeking direction for their higher education and career choices. It has been a joy to walk alongside young people, offering prayer, encouragement, and practical guidance as they make important decisions for their future.

Encouraging Visit from Foreign Mission Partners

It was a great joy and blessing to welcome our dear friends from New York during their visit to India. Their time with us became a wonderful opportunity for fellowship, encouragement, and spiritual strengthening.

Several churches from nearby cities gathered to hear the Word and receive ministry. Many testified of God’s touch through deliverance, healing, and renewed faith. The visit also included two large conferences that brought together thousands of pastors, ministry leaders, and servants of God under one roof.

We witnessed a powerful move of the Holy Spirit, with lives being encouraged, hearts being refreshed, and many being strengthened through the preaching of God’s Word. We are grateful for the opportunity to partner together in advancing the Kingdom of God and bringing hope to many.

Book and Video Translation Ministry

The Lord continues to open opportunities to serve through translation and digital ministry. I have been working on translating important Christian resources into Hindi, including new books connected with the Asbury Revival, so that these materials can reach a wider audience.

Alongside this, video editing work from SOZO training sessions and other ministry assignments continues to require many hours of focused effort. Though the long hours at the desk can be physically demanding, we are grateful for the privilege of using these tools to equip and encourage believers across different regions.

My current laptop becomes extremely hot during extended use, especially when running for several hours. In addition, with Windows 10 approaching the end of its support cycle and receiving only limited updates, I believe it is time to consider investing in a new computer.

Pray for us.

In His Unfailing Love,

Pastor Peter Pal
